October is Principal Appreciation Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the important work that principals do. Thank you Curry, Bomar, Young, and Ditmore!

Join us on October 12th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Enge-Washington Intermediate School as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! Bring your favorite Hispanic dish/dessert/drink. We will also have live entertainment, pinatas, arts and crafts.

GMS Football played very well last week against the Mexia Black cats. Our next scheduled GMS football game will be away against the Kemp Yellowjackets. We hope to see you there and thank you for your continued support of our athletes.

We are proud of our Goats who played hard in a tough game against the Crockett Bulldogs. Our Goats showed tremendous resolve and grit. They stayed trued to the Goat philosophy to "ALWAYS COMPETE" and displayed resiliency and athleticism. Here are some Highlights:

GISD will be working on a GISD-community night to highlight and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Ideas include celebrating and participating in hispanic dances, hosting a pot-luck dinner, and participating in cultural activities. Stay tuned for more information.
